Train derailment

There was a train derailment yesterday on the east side during snow-clearing and shunting operations.

Five cars of a Southern Railway train went off the tracks along Rothesay Avenue behind Signature Auto.

Railway spokeswoman Mary Keith told the Telegraph-Journal there was no safety risk to the public. There was no spill, no leak, no injuries. A hazmat team was deployed and the freight was transferred from the derailed cars.
