Man, charged with killing a police officer, is back behind bars

The man charged with killing an off-duty Truro police officer in Halifax is back behind bars charged with violating bail conditions.

Christopher Garnier was arrested at a residence on Boulardrie Island in Cape Breton Sunday after Halifax police requested Cape Breton Police to pick him up. That came after Halifax police tried to find him twice at a Bedford residence.

Garnier was released on bail last December while he awaits trial on second degree murder and other charges in the death of Catherine Campbell whose body was found near the MacDonald Bridge in 2015.
