Council of Atlantic Premiers meets in NL

Atlantic premiers met in Newfoundland today.  The Council of Atlantic Premiers was established in 2000, with talks aimed at how provinces can better cooperate.  New Brunswick’s Brian Gallant was joined by PEI’s Wade MacLauchlan and Newfoundland and Labrador’s Dwight Ball.  Nova Scotia’s Stephen McNeil joined via teleconference.

They’ve agreed to look at new ways to strengthen pharmacare programs, and say the next meeting of New England governors and eastern premiers will include business-to-business meetings for the first time.
