The Bates Barn burned down yesterday.
The barn on the Bates property at Long Point in Kings County was used as a barn during the winters. But CBC reports the picturesque barn was also a popular spot for weddings and other gatherings during the summers.
The cause of the fire is under investigation because of footprints in the snow leading to the barn.
