NB Power taking proposals for new renewable-energy program

NB Power is inviting municipalities, co-ops and non-profits to participate in a new program to integrate small-scale renewable energy projects onto the provincial power grid.   It allows for the production of 40 megawatts from hydro, biomass, wind, solar and the like.  Up to 20 megawatts can be owned by one or more local entity, or 40 by two or more if they’re on the same site.  Proposals can be submitted until April 28th.
