The $9.4 billion provincial budget doesn’t have tax increases or spending cuts. Finance Minister Cathy Rogers projected a $192 million deficit for next year, and says we’re on track to eliminate it by 2020-2021. The Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture’s budget is going up 17.6%, the Small Business Corporate Income Tax rate is going down to 3% of as April 1st, another $56 million is going into education and healthcare spending is going up 3.3%.
