Manitoba’s premier says there’s “no way” he would have said what he was quoted as saying in Maclean’s magazine.
It quoted Brian Pallister saying young indigenous men, many with criminal records; were night hunting.
Pallister says he was offended by that and doesn’t blame people for being upset, but he didn’t say it. He also doesn’t regret telling rural municipal politicians that tension surrounding night hunting is leading to a “race war,” because at least night hunting is now being addressed.
