Hawkes gets off regarding indecent assault charges

Gay rights activist Brent Hawkes has been acquitted of sex charges.  The Toronto pastor was accused of incidents in the 70s when he taught in The Valley, but a judge gave a not guilty verdict for gross indecency and indecent assault.  Alan Tufts said the complainant gave vivid testimony but it was contradicted by other evidence, and he didn’t believe Hawkes entirely; but the Crown could not prove the case.
