Tips include never running a generator in your home, garage, or near a window or outside air intake; and don’t barbecue, use a camping stove or propane heater in the house or garage. Opening a window or door isn’t enough. The warning comes after three-dozen people went to hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning after the ice storm, with two passing away.
