Government plans for roads and schools

The McNeil Government released its capital spending plans yesterday with over $217 million designated for road contruction. There’s almost $100 million for schools and other buildings.

One of them is a replacement for J.L. Ilsley High School in Spryfield…even though the school board hasn’t asked for one and Ilsley has undergone major renovations in recent years. Critics point out the main criteria for a replacement seems to be that it’s in a Liberal riding in what will likely be an election year.
