Hundreds of Maritimers took to public squares and social media to show their solidarity with their American neighbours the day after Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Offshoots of the Women’s March on Washington were held in Halifax, Saint John, Moncton, Fredericton and Charlottetown on Saturday. Protesters in St. John’s held a virtual rally after being snowed in by a blizzard. There were dozens of other such marches across the country.
