Nova Scotia to Implement ER Violence Recommendations

Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil says all 12 recommendations from a report on reducing violence at hospital E-R’s will be implemented within a year. The report showed increased violence in the health-care field between 2013 and 2015, with one third of nurses saying they were physically assaulted, bullied or injured at work. Recommendations include doing risk assessments for all emergency departments, better educating staff and providing them with communication devices to call for assistance.
