The Administration of Cape Breton University and the executive of the Cape Breton University Faculty Association have announced that significant progress has been made in negotiations, including an agreement in principle on Article 39 (the layoff clause), which has been the major point of contention leading to the threat of job action by faculty. As a result, there was no notice of strike action served yesterday.
