The province has accepted twelve recommendations to improve safety and security in hospital ERs. A working group set up in October has made them, including providing personal communication devices for staff working alone, more training, performing risk assessments for each ER, creating more ways of reporting violent incidents, and working together with unions to support staff when violent incidents happen.
