A sentencing hearing was held yesterday for Matthew Tucker who killed his mother outside St. Stephen in 2014.
Tucker told the judge he doesn’t remember murdering Dorothy Tucker in Oak Haven, but now suffers a guilty feeling in the bottom of his stomach. 36 year old Tucker, who was found guilty of second degree murder in November, said he had been awake for four days when he killed his mother with a shotgun and had been living in fear. He said he also didn’t remember wrapping her body in plastic and burying it in the woods where it was found a week and a half later by hunters.
Justice William Grant reserved sentencing until January 25th.
