School Board Trying to Help Students as Teachers Refuse Reference Letters

A Cape Breton School Board is stepping in to try to help students who can no longer obtain teacher reference letters for their University applications. Due to the ongoing work-to-rule campaign, teachers have refused to provide reference letters for students who are applying for scholarships or post secondary admission. The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board is hoping an open letter explaining the situation, to be included with applications, will help keep universities and scholarship committee’s from overlooking their students.
