Prostitution crackdown

RCMP in Moncton have arrested several johns.

CBC reports ten men were in court yesterday on prostitution-related charges in connection with an undercover police operation. It targeted St. George Street after complaints from citizens about the number of hookers on the street.

Four of the men pleaded guilty to obtaining sexual services for consideration and were fined the minimum $500. A fifth man pleaded not guilty and will go to trial in June. The other five requested more time to consult a lawyer.
