A church group is calling for action to deal with all the murders in Halifax this year. Half of the dozen murders were black men.
Lana MacLean, of the Atlantic United Baptist Association of Nova Scotia told the Chronicle Herald this issue of gun violence is not just a black on black crime but something that needs a public response…that the government needs to respond. MacLean says her association has asked for help from the justice and health departments and there’s been no coordinated response….”the silence is deafening”.
