Shediac volunteer fire fighters were busy again this weekend rescuing another animal from an icy river.
The previous weekend they rescued a moose that went through the ice on the Shediac River and are being recognized by PETA for their efforts.
This past weekend, they headed out to rescue a big male golden retriever that went through the ice on the Scoudouc River along with a smaller female dog. She managed to get out of the water and rush to RCMP on shore. Then the fire fighters arrived and got out to the floundering dog and got him safely to shore. Two of the volunteer fire fighters in this one were also involved in the moose rescue.
