Former longtime Dieppe mayor and Memramcook MLA William (Bill) Malenfant has died. He was 87. Malenfant, who served as mayor for 21 years, is often credited with the Dieppe area’s renaissance as a francophone cultural, educational and business hub. A book of condolences is available at Dieppe City Hall for members of the public to sign.
