Nova Scotia teachers update

Parents have one week to figure out what they’ll do with the kids.

Teachers can begin job action next Monday, but haven’t said what they will do yet; either a full strike, or work-to-rule.

The Teachers Union held a public forum for parents and those parents told the NSTU it has to be clear on what it’s asking the province for.

Saturday, Premier McNeil said there’s a $341 million gap between the province and the teachers’ contract demands.

Union President Liette Dopucet said she couldn’t confirm or deny that figure, or just what the discussions are; at the bargaibning table.
