Over 327,000 illegal cigarettes were seized in Saint John last Wednesday. The Department of Justice and Public Safety, RCMP, Saint John and Kennebecasis Valley police, and border agents were all involved. Nine search warrants were executed during the investigation, with the provincial tax value of the cigarettes being almost $73,000. Two people were arrested.
