Rink strategy

Common Council is hoping a regional approach will help with replacing four aging rinks around the city, according to the Telegraph-Journal.

Councillors have endorsed a regional recreation strategy by the Fundy Regional Services Commission.  It would see more co-operation among municipalities and possible cost-sharing. Deputy commissioner of parks and public spaces, Tim O’Reilly pointed out more than a third of the users of the city’s arenas come from outside the city.
