Firefighter were able to quickly contain an apartment fire in Moncton on Friday afternoon. Officials with the Moncton Fire Department tell the Times and Tribune they were able to extinguish the fire within minutes of arriving at the residence on Gilbert Street around 2pm. The fire broke out in a basement apartment of a the two storey building. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
