Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan is headed to West Africa to look at peacekeeping possibilities.
Sajjan’s office says his four day trip to Senegal and Mali is just to gather information and shouldn’t be seen as anything more. Mali, however, has been considered a prime choice for a peacekeeping mission. The U-N already has 13,000 troops and 2,000 police officers in the French-speaking country.
