Sentencing of a man who killed in mother in Charlotte County has been delayed until the New Year. One of Mathew Linus Tucker’s lawyers couldn’t attend court yesterday so the judge delayed sentencing until January 18.
A jury found Tucker guilty last month of killing his mother Dorothy in 2012. Her body was found by hunters in woods east of St. Stephen.
On his conviction Tucker got an automatic life sentence. The hearing is to determine how long he must serve before he’s eligible for parole, anywhere from 10 to 25 years.
