The McNeil government has approved the Highway 101 twinning project between Three Mile Plains and Falmouth, with some conditions.
That includes monitoring water conditions, groundwater quality; as well as telling people why the causeway at the Avon River was picked over other options such as a bridge.
The project will twin and upgrade an existing two-lane section of Highway 101 from exit 5 at Three Mile Plains to an area 2.5 km west of exit 7.
