Too-heavy transportation department trucks have crossed Smithtown covered bridge: Fraser

Transportation Minister Bill Fraser says department trucks have exceeded weight limits on the Hammond River No. 3 Bridge, as told to CBC.  The Smithtown crossing was shut down on Monday after an inspection, but whether it was a department truck or something else that caused the damage is unknown.
