A male youth is facing multiple charges after fleeing from police and colliding with two police vehicles in Halifax early yesterday.
Police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Titus Street and Dutch Village Road in Halifax just before 1 a.m.
Officers approached the vehicle in an attempt to arrest the driver and then he backed up, hitting the police vehicle behind him and then driving forward, hitting the police vehicle in front of him.
Two of the officers had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit, and this was followed by a police pursuit and the issuing of an arrest warrant for the 16-year-old. He was arrested in the 100 Block of Moirs Mills Road last night just after 6:00pm without incident.
