Some Chartottetown elementary school students are learning a new skill this year.
As part of a national program through The Learning Partnership, 35 teachers were trained to teach basic coding skills.
Students in grades 4 to 6 are creating new video games.
This is the first year this coding program has been offered in schools on P.E.I.
The province will review the program and is looking into offering it to more teachers and schools next year.
