SUMMARY:Relay for Life event
DESCRIPTION:To all of the Halifax and Dalhousie University community! This year\, the Dalhousie Cancer Fighting Committee is proud to announce that we are having a Relay for Life event right here at Dalhousie! The Relay is set to take place on Friday March 10th from 7pm to 12am at the Dalplex Field House\, right on campus. We urge all of you to register as soon as possible\, whether it be individually or with a team\, and help to fundraise money for the Canadian Cancer Society while honouring friends\, family or loved ones that have been affected by cancer.You can find the registration link on our Facebook page “Dalhousie Relay for Life”. There is a 15$ registration fee and although not mandatory\, it is highly encouraged that every participant or team raise at least 150$ that goes directly towards the Canadian Cancer Society. With each registration\, participants receive a free luminary to light at the ceremony and each additional one is 5$. Luminaries can be purchased at the event. Further details will be posted on our Facebook page as participants and teams begin to register\, but we hope that everyone takes part in this great event and starts to fundraise as soon as possible! \n
