A former employee of the Cape Breton Correctional Centre has pleaded guiolty to drug trafficking charges.
46 year old Nicole Marie Smith, of Sydney Mines, will be back in court February 3rd for sentencing. Smith was charged over incidents in August and September last year when she was working in the kitchen of the jail in Gardiner Mines.
A Frenchvale man has been committed to stand trial in connection with a violent home invasion after a preliminary hearing.
The judge found there was enough evidence against 33 year old Cory Todd O’Neil to warrant a trial. He was charged, along with three others, in connection with a home invasion last February on Keltic Drive.
