Military suspension

The second highest ranking military officer has been suspended from duty, and the DND is not saying why.

Vice Chief of Defence staff Mark Norman, who used to head the Navy; has been relieved of military duties by Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Jonathan Vance.

But neither he nor the government is giving the reason for such a rare move for such a senior officer.

Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan would only say he supports the decision.
