Jail time for a Sydney Mines man

A Sydney Mines man is going to prison for holding up a convenience store last summer.

28 year old Kenneth Cardigan Marsh got 42 months for armed robbery and breaching court orders.  The judge has also banned him from owning guns for life.

Marsh robbed the Circle K Irving in North Sydney last August.

Sydney Mines arrest warrant

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Justin Matthew Sampson

34 year old Justin Matthew Sampson of Sydney Mines, and formerly Bras d`Or, is wanted on an arson charge.  Police were called to a 6 unit apartment building on Barrington Street in Sydney Mines last October because of a fire in one of the apartments.  The Fire Marshall deemed it suspicious and called police.

Anyone with information on Sampson`s whereabouts is asked to call the Cape Breton Regional Police or Crimestoppers.
