A formal bargaining complaint has been made to the Labour Board against the Nova Scotia Health Authority and IWK. Bargaining between them and the Nova Scotia Council of Health Care Unions has stalled, as the council says the latter refuse to table proposals for three benefits in the new collective agreement: sick leave; health and life benefit plans; and pay plan maintenance.

Cape Breton highway twinning meetings
Public meetings have been scheduled by the government to discuss highay tolls to pay for twinning projects, including three in cape Breton.
The province is looking for feedback from the public on whether they would be willing to pay tolls to get the hgihways twinned sooner.
The first meeting will be February 21 at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre; February 22 in River Bourgeois at the Tara Lynne Community Centre; then February 23 at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre. They all run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
