Nova Scotians are being warned about a storm system set to hit the province early this week. Environment Canada’s special weather statement says the province will be hit by a low pressure system bringing snow early Tuesday. For most areas of the province the snow will change to ice pellets and potentially long periods of freezing rain.

Taxi Crashes Through Store Window in Downtown Halifax
A taxi cab crashed into a storefront in downtown Halifax on Friday after hitting a woman at a crosswalk. It happened Friday evening on Spring Garden Road and ended with the cab drivers vehicle going through the front windows of the Lole Halifax store. Police say the cab driver and the pedestrian were both treated for minor injuries. The cabby was ticketed for failing to stop at a red light and failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
