Funding has been announced for a second cruise ship berth at the Port of Sydney. The municipal, provincial and federal governments will split the $20 million cost. Engineering and construction are expected to take 14-18 months.

Chronicle Herald strike marks one-year anniversary
The Chronicle Herald strike is a year old. The Halifax Typographical Union had pickets and rallies planned throughout the province, with 61 newsroom staff going on strike last January 23rd over wage cuts and other issues. The Labour Board will hear an unfair practice complaint against the newspaper on February 8th.
