NS 2017-18 capital plan

The province has released its 2017-18 capital plan.  It’ll invest $515 million this year, including on roads, schools, health care and public infrastructure across the province.  The plan also has a $169.2 million Halifax Convention Centre investment that was deferred from last year.

Minimum wage going up

Nova Scotia’s minimum wage is going up April 1st.  It’ll be $10.85 an hour, in line with the cost of living.  Those with less than three months’ experience will get $10.35.
