Federal ministers and Atlantic premiers have agreed in principle on a $20 million multi-year Atlantic trade and investment growth strategy. The aim is to double the number of exporting enterprises from Atlantic Canada from 1700 to 3400 by 2025. That has come out of today’s meeting in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.

NS forest industry sees growth: new report
A new report on the province’s forest industry shows recent increases in employees and economic activity. Natural Resources Minister Lloyd Hines says the Gardner Pinfold Consultants report shows a strong recovery for the forest sector, which now generates more than $2 billion.
