The tidal turbine case was back in court yesterday. The Bay of Fundy Inshore Fishermen’s Association wants the Supreme Court to put off provincial approval of the project, saying it’s based on bad science. The test turbine was installed in the Minas Passage in November, but the fishermen’s lawyer says Cape Sharp Tidal didn’t give enough data about the bay prior to that.

Seal mistreatment allegations
Three fishermen face charges after a video of apparent seal mistreatment made the rounds. It was filmed on a boat off Yarmouth, and the DFO was told about it this week. The men are due in court April 3rd for plea.
