Cape Breton population

Cape Breton’s population is down again.  The 2016 census data shows us having 132,010 people, down from 135,974 in 2011.  CBRM is at 98,722, down from 101,619.  Our Mi’kmaq communities went up though, including Eskasoni to 3422 from 3309.  Nova Scotia itself went from  921,727 to 923,598.

O’Leary comments on Nova Scotia

Kevin O’Leary has blasted Stephen McNeil.  In an open letter on Facebook, the federal Conservative leadership candidate said our economy is hindered by high taxes and policies that discourage gas and oil exploration.  He also said the high taxes and low economic output isn’t a coincidence.  The premier isn’t commenting right now.
