Another adjournment in Barrett murder trial

There’s been yet another adjournment in the trial of Thomas Ted Barrett, charged with the murder of Laura Catherine Jessome in 2012.

There have already been 30 adjournments recorded in the case as Barrett has had trouble keeping lawyers.

He was due to go to trial in May but his newest lawyer says he’s needs more time to prepare his case, so the judge has put it off until October.

Barrett remains in custody serving a life-sentence for another murder.
