Body found in Cape Breton

Police found the body of a man buried under some snow late yesterday.

They got a call from family concerned about a 66 year old man on Chapel Road in the Huntington area. After a search by ground search and rescue his body was found under the snow near his vehicle. He has been sent for an autopsy but foul play is not suspected.

NS heritage day

Today is Heritage Day in Nova Scotia. It’s the third year of the relatively new holiday.  The province plans to honour Mi’kmaw heritage by celebrating the accomplishments of the Mi’kmaw community in the province with a number of events, including hockey games being played in Membertou and Truro.  As well, the Museum of Natural History, Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Museum of Industry and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia will be all be free of charge today.
