Bill 75 passed into law

Bill 75 has passed third and final reading.  The legislation sends 9300 public school teachers in Nova Scotia back to regular work, imposing a contract after three previous tentative ones were shot down by union members.  Among it, the Council to Improve Classroom Conditions will give teachers direct input on how $20 million is invested.

NSLC third-quarter results

The NSLC has released third-quarter results.  Net income was up 0.5% to $64.8 million from October-January, compared to the same period last year.  Nova Scotia spirits went up 111.6% to $1.2 million, and craft beer went up 29.5% to $2.5 million among other things.  Get full details at mynslc.com.
