A Sydney Mines man is due in court today for a bail hearing on sex offences.
30 year old Richard Billy Rice is charged with three counts of sexual assault and three of sexual interference involving a person under 16. The offences are alleged to have occurred between August 2011 and June 2016.
A Sydney man will return to court in September for sentencing in connection with a fatal accident.
30 year old Liam Alexander MacNeil pleaded guilty to public mischief in connection with the accident last September which killed 40 year old William Francis Gittens of Dutch Brook. MacNeil told police it was Gittens who was driving the SUV that night when it crashed on Highway 28 in South Bar.
He will be sentenced September 14th.
