Remembrance Day Spat

A miscommunication is being blamed for a Remembrance Day-related spat between a Cape Breton craft association and several local legions.

The Home Crafters of Cape Breton always hold their three-day annual craft sale at Centre 200 in Sydney and they booked it years ago.

But this year, Remembrance Day falls on the first day of the sale and while the legions had made arrangements to get the big hall, the ceremony is being moved to a smaller one.

Some angry residents have taken to social media to criticize the craft group but the crafters and the legions say the mixup is not their fault.

Indecent Acts

A Nova Scotia man is facing charges after allegedly masturbating while standing inside a home in front of a window fully undressed while children walked by outside.

Police say they recieved a complaint on Tuesday afternoon, and the next morning they received a similiar complaint.

R-C-M-P say a search warrant was conducted at a home in Lawrencetown and 26-year-old Chester Terry Thibodeau was arrested.

He’s been charged with three counts of committing an indecent act.
