Glace Bay man comments on the death of his son

A Glace Bay man says he will never stop fighting for justice for his son, who died three years ago in Calgary after being stabbed 37 times.

Crown prosecutors are expected to ask the Alberta Court of Appeal to overturn Nicholas Rasberry’s acquittal on a second-degree murder charge in the stabbing death of Calgary teacher Craig Kelloway.  In October 2015, a judge found Rasberry guilty of the lesser offence of manslaughter after a two-week trial.

His father, Harvey Kelloway, says Rasberry got away with murder and that the justice system is a mockery.

Cabot Trial upgrades

ACOA has announced over $1.1 million for improvements to tourist facilities along the Cabot Trail.

MPs Mark Eyking and Roger Cuzner announced the money will go towards upgrades in streetscape, improvements to the facades of some  businesses, and brush clearing along the road to open up the views.  $300,000 is also going into tourism marketing to promote the island as a golf destination.
