A new Tire and Rubber Association of Canada survey shows Atlantic Canadians are using winter tires in record numbers. 81% of us put them on now, with a 2014 poll showing 73%. Among those not using winter tires, 40% say they don’t drive enough during the season, 19% believe all-seasons are good enough and 5% point to cost.

Foreign buyers attempting to illegally purchase NS lobster licences
The Independent Fish Harvesters Federation has spoken out again a “brazen” attempt by foreigners to buy Nova Scotia lobster licences. An ad in two Clare-based publications targets fishermen looking to retire. By law though, buyers have to be independent and local.
