Hundreds of Nova Scotia students, teachers, volunteers and innovators are taking part in Our Ocean Playground workshops today in Halifax. It’s a full-day, hands-on session about the growing importance of oceans in our lives. A goal is to have students take post-secondary programs that support this growing and diverse industry.

NSCC holding event to deal with NS social problems
A 12-hour event on Friday will challenge NSCC students to come up with innovative solutions to Nova Scotian issues. Challenge NS will be held at the Burridge, Cumberland, Digby, Kingstec, Lunenburg, Pictou, Shelburne, and Waterfront campuses. Students will address a social problem by spending 12 consecutive hours working in teams online to create a 90-second video outlining a proposed solution.
