Premier Stephen McNeil sign a partnership agreement between Nova Scotia and the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth to devleop marine technology.

The reward program is cancelling plans that would have seen collectors lose any miles not used within five years.
There are 11 million active Air Miles collectors.
Some welcomed the news but others are angered because they scrambled to redeem their miles before the expiration was to take effect at the end of the year.
